PUBLIC WORKS LABOURER 2 

The Town of Unity is seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual for the position of

Labourer-2 for its Public Works Department commencing immediately. This in-scope position requires an energetic team player with a strong work ethic. 

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a full benefit package and pension plan. However, some evening and weekendwork maybe required.A complete job description is available from the Unity Town office or from HERE

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS:

PREFERRED:             

  • A working knowledge of municipal vehicles and equipment.
  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Air Endorsement on Driver’s License

MUST HAVE:

  • Valid “Motor Vehicle Operator’s License” – Class 5
  • First Aid / CPR
  • A criminal record check and a driver’s abstract must be provided prior to starting employment.

Working hours are7.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and starting hourly wage as per C.U.P.E. Local 2752 Collective Agreement is $21.36.
